Eric Harris Jr. is a cybersecurity executive, thought leader, and retired Army officer with over 20 years of experience leading security strategy and operations across both federal and healthcare industries. His expertise spans Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), and Security Program Implementation (SPI).

After multiple combat deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, Eric transitioned from logistics to cybersecurity—a move he calls “the best decision I made in my military career.” Today, he applies that battlefield-tested leadership to safeguarding organizations and developing the next generation of cyber professionals.

Eric is passionate about continuous learning, cybersecurity education, and building diverse, resilient security teams. He holds multiple industry certifications to include the CISSP, PMP, and CGRC. Eric earned his B.S. in Computer Science from South Carolina State University and his M.S. in Information Management from Syracuse University.
